Welcome to the 2017 Edmonton Home + Garden Show!

The days are getting longer and the foliage has begun to sprout, it’s time to re-imagine your indoor and outdoor spaces with the help of the Edmonton + Home and Garden show! This year we have over 600 exhibitors and a plethora of exciting new features that are sure to inspire. Whether you are in the mood to learn the season’s hottest decor trends, discover the latest renovation tips or explore our outdoor living possibilities - there is something for everyone at the show!

Looking to connect with some of Canada’s top experts? We are thrilled to have Mike Holmes Jr. of HGTV’s Holmes + Holmes, and Matt Muenster from HGTV’s Bath Crashers on our Main Stage, presented by the Edmonton Journal. Carson Arthur from HGTV’s Home to Win will be stepping up on the RCLcanada Garden Stage, presented by 630 CHED, and Chopped Canada’s Massimo Capra will be on our Cooking Stage presented by Dinner Television, SONiC 102.9 and  The Tomato Food + Drink. And don’t worry, our favourite local experts are also back, joining us on the stages throughout the weekend!

The spring season always brings about a yearning for refreshment and rejuvenation. Grab your tape measure, sharpen your pencil and toss on your sneakers, it’s time to perk up your space and reconnect with the outdoors. Let’s go!

Mike Holmes Jr.
Contractor & co host of Holmes + Holmes on HGTV Canada

Mike Holmes Jr. (MJ) is a professional contractor, television host, public speaker, and educator. He started working with his father—celebrity contractor Mike Holmes—when he was just 14 years old on the set of Holmes on Homes®. For 11+ years viewers watched Mike Jr. grow up as he helped his father on some of his most ambitious builds and projects. Today MJ focuses on a holistic approach to proper homebuilding that supports healthy living and stars in the newest edition of the Holmes series franchise, Holmes + Holmes, where he and his dad transform his modest bachelor bungalow into a two-storey masterpiece.

Matt Muenster
Licensed Contractor and Designer – DIY Network’s Bath Crashers

Licensed contractor, Matt Muenster, sees every project as a chance to use his clever ideas to achieve great design while integrating earth-friendly elements. Matt earned his degree in interior design from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He initially got his feet wet designing restaurants and casinos and even worked on the Angolan Project in Africa. Eventually, his fervor for design shifted to the residential sector. His professional experience includes high-end interior design, and he gets an adrenaline rush every time he transforms a boring bathroom into a fantastic one on DIY Network’s Bath Crashers.

Leigh Ann Allaire Perrault

As a DIY & design expert, Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault has spent years crafting a unique philosophy for design that fuses ingenuity, whimsy, and quality workmanship – all on a “frugalista” budget. She believes that achieving great style and design isn’t determined by how much money you spend, but rather how creative you can be with your budget. Amongst the many hats she wears, Leigh-Ann is a regular contributor on Cityline, a spokesperson for Rust-Oleum Canada.  With a passion to educate and inspire, Leigh-Ann embraces every opportunity she gets to spark creativity and instill confidence in others who strive to “DO IT YOURSELF”.

Massimo Capra

Born in Italy, Chef Massimo Capra’s culinary training began in Salsomaggiore, Parma. He then started his culinary journey at the famous Trattoria dall' Amelia in Mestre near Venice. In 1982, he moved to Toronto where he has worked at and owned various prominent restaurants.

Chef Capra is the host of the hit series, Restaurant Makeover, on the Food Network and is a judge on Chopped Canada. A man of many talents, Chef Capra is the award-winning author of "One Pot Italian" and "Three Chefs the kitchen men."

Carson Arthur

Carson Arthur is an international landscape designer with a focus on environmentally friendly design. Throughout his 15-year television career, Carson teaches homeowners

how to raise the value of their homes through outdoor renovations. You may recognize him as the host of HGTV’s Green Force and Critical Listing.

Ultimate UpCycle Challenge: Pooch Palace edition
Pamper your pooch with a bed fit for royalty. Whether it’s an elaborate estate, or a modest mansion, treat your furry friend to a lap of luxury. Local media personalities and influencers were put to work to create comfortable and stylish pet beds perfect for man’s best friend. Each participant chose a piece of furniture from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore and transformed it into an upcycled bed of doggy dreams. Don’t forget to give the challengers a round of a-paws and take a bed home for yourself! Bid on the fetching pooch palaces which will be up for auction. 100% of the proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity.
