This weekend, we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Edmonton Home + Garden Show at the Expo Centre. With a predicted snow storm this weekend, spring won yet again treating us with bluebird skies and fresh air all weekend long! (Yes, we can finally say goodbye to winter!) If you didn't get a chance to come down this weekend, here's what you missed.

Edmonton Home + Garden Show

A full roster of HGTV celebrities and DIY experts landed in Edmonton, and show attendees got to be up close in personal with Matt Muenster, Carson Arthur, Tiffany Pratt, Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault, Cheryl Torrenueva and Denise Wild. Presented by the Edmonton Journal, experts hit the Home + Garden stage to dish out their knowledge on some top reno tricks, tips and design trends to help them with their Spring home and garden projects.

To celebrate our 50th Anniversary, some of our celebrity guests joined forces for a friendly Birthday Cake Bake-Off on the Cooking Stage! Matt Muenster, Tiffany Pratt and Carson Arthur went head-to-head with help from local cake expert from The Art of Cake to create the ultimate birthday cake. It was all filled with fun, laughs, and a little "friendly" competition. The winner: Carson Arthur!

Bake Off

Some must see features sure lived up to their "big" names! The Tiny Home Village was busy with show-goers able to step into the amazing Tiny Homes from Zero Squared and Big Hearts Tiny Homes. Guests were able to get hands-on and learn about all the amazing ways you can live large in a tiny space.

Floral prints, vintage tables and vibrant paints were all featured in rooms ready to inspire all of our retro lovers. The perfect tie-in for our 50th Anniversary - mixing our love for retro vibes with a modern twist!

The Ultimate Upcycled: Planted had show attendees' jaws dropping! YEG influencers and some special guests upcycled old furniture into dreamy outdoor and indoor planters that are the perfect addition to any home this Spring. Not to mention, all proceeds from the auctioned off projects went to support Habitat for Humanity!
