Individuals under the age of fifteen are prohibited to be on the show floor, or back of house areas during Move In, Move Out, or while heavy machinery is operating.
Move In and Move Out periods during events can be a dangerous time with vehicles, heavy machinery, overhead work, and many other hazards. Exhibitors should take particular care when working during this time and should take steps to protect themselves
The Edmonton EXPO Centre requires exhibitors to wear proper closed toed shoes during this time and recommends that everyone working in the space wear a visibility vest.
Additionally, equipment operators are required to have their relevant licenses and must have copies of their license with them when working at EXPO. Anyone working above 10’ feet must use fall protection and have their fall protection certificate available upon request.
While Field Level Hazzard Assessments (FLHA) are not required for a typical Exhibitor moving into a standard booth, we do ask the Exhibitors stop and complete one before performing a potentially dangerous task, for example, working on a raised platform,
using power tools, or operating heavy machinery. Click Here for the Field Level Hazzard Assessments Form.
